These Are The 5 Summer Must Haves If You Are Pregnant

Sunscreen

When looking for sunscreen try to find brands that offer protection against UVA and UVB rays with a strength of 30 or higher. Keep in mind, some sunscreen with insect repellent is believed to be considered unsafe for pregnant women. Consult with your doctor if you are unsure of what sunscreen will be safe for you and your baby.

Water

The summer heat can really take a toll on your pregnant body, so staying hydrated is key. Drinking 8 cups of water per day is recommended, but with higher temperatures consider drinking even more to keep your body from dehydrating. Affects of dehydration can really complicate pregnancy possibly causing neural tube defects and premature labor.

A Sunhat

Regardless if you’re pregnant or not, a sunhat is always in style! A sunhat will protect your eyes from harmful UV rays, so consider investing in one this summer. Hats also can elevate your summer wardrobe as a perfect accessory.

Comfortable Shoes

Summer calls for outdoor activities and getting active, so save yourself from sore feet by investing in a pair of comfortable shoes! Pregnancy can make your feet swollen and putting any more strain on your feet is something you will definitely regret. Opt for a pair with more arch support because it will also alleviate any back pain.

Rest

This one seems a given, but you should always remember to stay well rested during your pregnancy, especially during straining summer months. The heat and physical activities can take a toll, so just remember to take frequent resting breaks to give your body a break.
