The stars stepped food on the red carpet last night for the 2019 Oscar Awards Ceremony, wearing the latest designs from high fashion runways. Every year, there are women who put on the their super high heels and step out while pregnant showing the world that you can be glam while carrying a child. In honor of last nights ceremony, we would like to take a look back at some of our favorite maternity red carpet looks over the years.
Natalie Portman
From the color to the fit, Natalie Portman stunned in a beautiful violet gown at the 2011 Oscars. She won Best Actress that year for Black Swan, and went through the entire Oscars season heavily pregnant. The actress claimed that being pregnant during awards season had kept her “centered” and that the pregnancy has kept her away from all the awards “hoopla.”
Kerry Washington
Scandal actress Kerry Washington opted for a silk gown during the 2014 Oscars ceremony. Washington famously hid her baby bump through the filming of Season 6 of her hit TV show, and they got creative with outfits and set props. Lamps were often used as baby bump covers throughout scene filming.
Jessica Alba
The actress hid her baby bump in a gorgeous burgundy Marchesa gown at the 2008 Oscars. Contrary to other celebrity interviews, Alba stated she doesn’t feel all too glamorous hitting up the red carpet while pregnant, rather that she feels more like “Humpty Dumpty” on a regular basis.
